Last night I was peepin Conan’s second tonight show and he did this hilarious sketch about Twitter…Check it out…
This is a video we produced for Mothers Day. It’s a great story about 2 great Ladies in our church - Debbie Straight and her mom Lois Corey.

Lot’s of times when I get asked about “video church”…. it’s presented sort-of as a skeptic threat ; almost hoping that the answer is “Videos don’t work and it’s been our worst mistake ever”. Not true … its quite the opposite actually. Oh, and then it’s followed by the classic … “How bout all them people who don’t get to preach due to the video megapastor?”
… SHUT UP!….
Check this … Perry Noble put it best at his recent UNLEASH 09 conference … I had to share. Check yourselves pastors…. you could be making some serious damage to the bride if you’re not careful and diligent with the call and vision God gave you.
I am blessed to be part of a church lead by an anointed pastor that understands the value of completing and not competing …. NOT ONCE has our pastor criticized the church next door or across town even-though we get hit left and right from every corner. The lost are too many and our vision is way to big for us to be worried about that… thanks for putting it out there Perry and thanks for modeling it Buddy.
Thanks Heredes.
Here’s a couple songs we opened up the services with last week. The excitement in God’s house was electric.
For the first time in a while I actually had enough time to invest in a recap video in order to do it the right way.
I spent about 5 hours picking the music.
About 3 hours with the 3D bubble video scene.
About 4 hours combined with the other scenes.
And there was an initial investment of about 4 hours spent on the content cut which got massaged along the way.
I really wanted to take people to the tention that was there between the Crowd, the Woman, and Jesus…The music also makes them feel that tension and takes people to the place where they can really experience it.
There is still a lot more that could be done with filters and transitions but all in all I’m really happy with how it turned out…
Typically at Northway we only make the message portion of our services available…however, in the case of our Christmas service we decided to produce the whole thing.
My team did a great job on this and I’m really excited about getting to watch a share the finished product in HD…
If you come by Northway you can also pick up a DVD copy in The Source.
No Quiet.
No Sleep.
No Filters.
No Satisfaction.
This was my Christmas morning…

One of my Production Pet Peeves is stage clutter. wires, instruments and microphones are just a few of the things i can’t stand to see behind our pastor when the lights fade up for his message.
I wish there was a good clean way to transition all the instruments and music clutter off after worship and back on after the message.
The other day I was watching a message by Pace Hartfield at Fellowship Church and at the end of his message i noticed something that caught me completely off guard…
They did what? That’s right…They can rotate their stage. This is definitely something I’d love to build at Northway in the near future.
Wednesday I went snowboarding
When your feet start bleeding it usually means you need new boots
It doesn’t necessarily mean it’s time to quit for the day.
Fake snow is best with a layer of real fresh powder on top
energy drinks are crucial after lunch
I was soooore afterward
Thanksgiving I hung out at one of my best friends - Jeremy Erndt’s parents’ house.
They have an awesome family
I was very thankful to be there
I have great friends
We played football in the yard after we ate
When picking football teams - pick Josh Jones (even if he says he cant run)
I hate losing!!!
Dessert was next
My favorite is good old apple pie with vanilla ice cream
Why were the 2 football games that stunk on during the day and on major networks but the one game that was actually somewhat close has to be on NFL network (I’M THE BIGGEST NFL NETWORK HATER EVER!)
Kereoke next
I got us started with some (Jet - “Are you gonna be my girl)
Madden 2001 on the original play station…It’s been a while.
James Bond movie at Colonie (the best theatre by far)

Friday I did nothing and it was awesome!
Saturday and Sunday we had the best thanksgiving weekend services ever!
Chad Clem brought it! Phenomenal job speaking.
I cried in every service
Praise God for being our healer
I actually pushed buttons…It’s been a while.
We were packed in every service at Clifton Park and Colonie was crankin also.
Our Band rocks!
Our Production team brought their A game
I am so proud of our Church…Can you tell?
I have so much to be thankful for!
Thank you God!
